An Amazing Project
Here's how we made the Corn Maze. Farmer Roger (aka Dr. Maze) creates each
year's maze himself. He sketches the design,
transfers it to graph paper, and then cuts out the maze with a mower and
a hoe.
Theme of the 2007 maze was "Wildlife on the
Farm," a tribute to the birds, bugs, and other wild critters that share
the farm with us. The design featured a
scarecrow surrounded by several hungry crows. Questions inside the maze tested
your knowledge of local farms, wildlife, and the connection between them.
